Thanks, Shel!

It was just an interesting day.

First I found this app for my iPhone by happenstance:

... and while it did not improve my productivity, streamline my social networking apparati, manage my finances, nor make my grocery shopping more efficient, it did make me smile.

*********

And then a customer came in the store to tell me her 9-year old granddaughter had postively eaten with a spoon the copy of Shel Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends" that I had talked her into a couple months ago, and proceeded to buy a copy of every other one of his collections we had in stock.

And then another customer called the store later, looking for the single remaining volume of his poetry we had on the shelf....

****
And then I got home and decided to share this on my blog, and ran across this, which always makes me cry happy tears because it is as eloquent an explanation for what God can do with us if we trust Him....

And then I decided this post needed to end on a silly note in honor of the gift of Shel Silverstein, so here's the poem that always made my boys giggle.

There's too many kids in this tub.
There's too many elbows to rub.
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine!
There's too many kids in this tub!

Lordamercy, what a wonderful day!
